West Adderbury Residents’ Association (WARA) recently submitted a petition to Cherwell District Council (CDC) on behalf of over 200 West Adderbury residents, who think that the governance arrangements for West Adderbury need to be reviewed.

We are pleased to report that CDC have now accepted the petition and as a result will carry out a “community governance review”, to see whether a separate West Adderbury Parish Council should be reinstated. 
Under the law, CDC must now complete the review within 12 months from 6 April 2020. This process will involve establishing terms of reference for the review and consulting interested parties, which will include all residents of the existing parish and our current parish council.
